The Nuclear Imagination

Bureau V’s Peter Zuspan presents "The Nuclear Imagination" at the Brooklyn Public Library on June 12, 2018 at 2pm.

From the utopian Atoms for Peace campaign to the environmental imperatives of the 1960s and 70s to the science fiction of the 1980s, the nuclear power reactor has held a near constant but ever-shifting position within popular culture. The lecture will consider these various meanings and will look towards what value this history could hold for a future of architecture.
