Tuleva is a fictional relic. The project creates an archaeological artifact from an imaginary, recently-discovered, technologically-advanced society. Its centerpiece, a polychromatic, arched form, is believed to be the discarded shoulder of a massive robotic humanoid. The relic is installed in a public plaza. Within its interior, a narrative unfolds as to its possible origins, consisting of numerous written analysis, archaeological photographs, and artists' recreations.
Tuleva was a competition entry for the Van Alen Institute and the Flatiron/23rd Street Partnership's Flatiron Plaza Holiday Design Competition.
