Bureau V's drawing entitled drive-by v.3 will be up for auction at John Connelly Presents on Sunday, June 22nd from 4-8pm. The auction will support the upcoming issue of the arts journal K48.


Open Studio: Drawings in Progress

Bureau V will open its studio and present two large scale drawings in progress in conjunction with our residency with the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council. We would love for you to come by and see what we've been up to. Refreshments will be provided.

Good Morning Architecture

Bureau V was interviewed by Olympia Kazi, director of the Institute for Urban Design, for the Italian radio show GMA (Good Morning Architecture).


Abacus

Bureau V is working with director Lars Jan of Early Morning Opera to design and produce Abacus, a new exhibition-specific performance and installation commissioned by the Whitney Museum of American ArtAbacus  will open this September in the museum's upcoming show Buckminster Fuller: Starting with the Universe.


K48

Bureau V's drawings will be featured in the upcoming Spring issue of K48.


Architecture in the Emirates

Designs led by Stella Lee (Guggenheim Pavilions) and Alexander Pincus (Strata Tower) have been published in Taschen's AE Architecture in the Emirates, by Philip Jodidio.


Swing Space

The Lower Manhattan Cultural Council has awarded Bureau V a Swing Space residency in order to further develop research into new techniques of architectural drawing.


Slow and Steady Wins the Race

Fashion designer Mary Ping has commissioned Bureau V to design and produce an installation for her conceptual clothing line, Slow and Steady Wins the Race.


Architecture Editor

Peter Zuspan has been named the Architecture Editor of Museo.


UK Lecture

Stella Lee and Alexander Pincus will present a lecture, On the Virtues of Blindness in Architecture, at the University of Kentucky March 3, to be followed by a discussion led by Dean Michael Speaks.


Museo

Peter Zuspan's article "A Mannerist Transparency: Architecture, Distraction, and the Tabloid" will be published in the January issue of Museo.


Lincoln Center

Bureau V will be collaborating with Diller Scofidio + Renfro and Imaginary Forces on the design of Infoscape, the new information landscape for the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts.


Columbia University

Peter Zuspan has been appointed as a professor of architecture at Columbia University. He will be teaching a design studio in the undergraduate architecture program this spring.


Ends and Means

Alexander Pincus will be giving a talk, Technique Towards Form, at the University of Pennsylvania School of Design on September 24th.


Mark Taylor

Bureau V has been selected by philosopher / theorist Mark C. Taylor to collaborate on a new book project.


Return to Penn

Peter Zuspan will be teaching an advanced design studio at the University of Pennsylvania with Winka Dubbeldam this fall semester.


Early Morning Opera

Autopilot, the play conceived by playwright Jane Pickett and director Lars Jan with art direction and set design by Bureau V, premiered last night at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles.

The Atlantic Yachting Association has commissioned Bureau V to design a floating yacht club and full service marina on the Hudson River in Manhattan, NY.
